Oh how the weekends just fly by...I spent yesterday with Marie my biological mother. No, I am not adopted (but a girl can dream, right?) I wanted to take my new addition to the family to the pier to collect images for my Time Machine. My Fancy got me a beautiful DSLR for my b-day. I would be a lot more thrilled if I actually knew how to use it but for now it mocks me with it's difficulty and I feel unusually stupid around it. It's not exactly the way I wanted to start my new relationship but there you have it...
One of the best things about Marie is there is nothing I can say to her to illicit the least bit of a rise. The day I graduated highschool I told her I wanted to move to France, she bought me a one way ticket (yes, you read that right ONE WAY!). She is always good at Johnny one upping me on the shock factor barometer. I called her up and asked her if she wanted to go collect images for my Time Machine.
MARIE: "Wha?"
MISS B: Sigh.."My Time Machine I want images for my Time Machine."
Her answer?
MARIE: "Joo got a Time Macheen?"
MISS B: "Yeah."
MARIE: "Koole".
My mother has always let me indulgde my imagination even if it meant being the weird kid. I think this is good thing if you don't mind your kid being ridiculed and made fun of. Anyway, below are the results of some of the 8,000 images I captured yesterday. The Time Machine is exhausting and at a certain point I hit my limit. I will go back soon because I have some ideas spinning round my head that I want to get out. I must thank Marie though for pointing out the rogue rabbit on the merry-go-round. I don't know how I could of missed it the first time 'round but the minute she saw she knew it would be something that I would like and for that I am grateful....

AND last but not least! TOI won the Domino Book of Decorating! This is great news for many reasons:
1) She has a house to decorate
2) She's trying to save some dough and winning the book means she won't have to buy it (or resort to theft)
3) Toi has promised that if myself and the girls ever become homeless she will be sure to let me sleep on her sofa which is sure to be chic as can be after she gets her book in the post!
