I kinda have a heart-on for the above cover of English decor mag, 'World of Interiors'. The colors are completely up my alley and although I would never get this adventurous colour-wise with my own home, I definitely could take bits and pieces of this for inspiration. I am totally digging the oil paintings, especially the dog one where the owner decided to hang it at enjoyment level with the chair. It's modern in the respect that it's not overloaded with chtokes it shows restraint yet maintains it's character.
I get sent the above lovely magazine gratis because I would like to think I am a very special person, the truth is more likely that they need/want something from me. It doesn't matter, the point is I get it, it's cool and if I bought it on the stands it would probably set me back a little more than I can spare at the moment. I don't share this bit of information to be a braggart but because I want to be your Bestie and if I have to buy your affections, so be it. You see sometimes they send me more than one copy and really I just need/want one. I have mentioned this to power's that be but it seems they think I need/want two. I was thinking maybe there's other Euro/Anglo-phile, decor magazine lusting peeps out there and I would like to send them a nice lil' care package of my double issues. I only have about six months worth (when 'they' decided that I was the chosen one) but I rarely see design blogs mention anything from this mag and really they should, it is Conde Nast after all (you know the little publishing empire that produces, Vogue, Domino, Vanity Fair, GQ, etc.) so if you want to win a pile of the back issues or you have a design blog and want to Johnny-one-up the competition than leave a comment for me and let me know why I need to send this package to you. I will pick a person (pickle piper, sorry) and take to the Post this Saturday for you, yes you.
