I do have to say the current Souvenir Foto students did an amazing job and I am hoping that they will allow me to show some of the images here from the assignments we are doing. There's plenty of room to join and right now the class is only ZERO dollars! You pay in sweat but that's not much. I have to say it helped me a tremendous amount to A) have a subject to think about shooting all week and B) being accountable. I had a lot of angst because I hated everything I did but the students are so encouraging and creative that I got myself motivated. Our next assignment as you can see above is shoes. Ace thought it was a 'boring' subject (boys!) but any woman worth her salt can get excited about at least one pair of shoes, no? They don't have to be your own, they can be one's you covet in a shop window, they can be the cutest pair of baby shoes or whatever. I want you to get creative. I have enclosed some images that might inspire you for this assignment. It's due next Friday and remember only images that were shot between now and Friday will be added to the group!

The 10 cent designer is so flippin' creative it aint even funny! Her images, her home, herself. I love, love, love going through her Flickr photostream. She does something called Bench Monday's ( a wildly popular Flickr group) which should provide you plenty of great shoe shots to get your brain a tickin'. Have fun, try to use some of the tips you learned from our guest photograher's and start shooting.
