I received an email yesterday from my new friend Maurice S. Okay, technically the email didn't come yesterday (I don't think) and who knows how long it sat in my inbox before I was lured by the subject: 'Suggestion for The Blah, Blah, Blahg'. I'll have you know I am ALWAYS waiting for kind people to send me my next blog post topic. Heck, who am I kidding? Send me my next blog post. As you know I am easily distracted, it's amazing that I have a drivers license and am gainfully employed. Anyways, when I saw what Maurice was pitching I was buying what he was sellin'. Here I am slaving away at these Photoshop actions for the kit one being an AUTHENTIC Polaroid action to get that beautiful, creamy, opally goodness and here Mauirce comes along and does it for moi! Better than an action because you don't need Photoshop or any skills really to come up with some great results. It's FREE but I do suggest if you are going to use it as much as I intend to that you hit the 'donate' button and get Maurice a cup of joe or tea so he can stay up and make me us more cool apps. I have to say I am over the moon. The Poladroid makes me cringe. It's so ugly and unflattering. I am so sorry Poladroid, I know others feel differently and well, they are grossly mistaken or were born after 1987 ( I jest). I have seen only one image of awesome Poladroid by my faux friend (I am friends with her in my head) Victoria Smith of SFGIRLBYBAY (I totally heart her). Okay so before I give you the goods I will show you what this bad boy can do (both the app and Maurice)...
For the curious, Maurice created multiple versions of the development so you can go the above route or if you are feeling wild, perhaps you might prefer the candy coloured hue version...
Maurice and his magic app also did a peel-a-part version, so you can have a great landscape image in your 'faux-laroid' arsenal as well. I have to admit this was one of those times that I wanted to keep the info to myself. My laziness got the best of me and of course my love for you....Please visit the brilliant new Rollip site now...
