When Heidi Merrick's press team sent over her new look book I knew it was going to make it to the pages of the Blahg. For one I am madly in LOVE with Heidi. Her aesthetic is so me, very femme but cool (Okay, I am so not cool but femme indeed). I have uhm, how do you say this without being saucy? I have an abnormally large chest for a girl of my size, add to that my tiny feet and I look like I may topple over at any given minute. I had this idea one day to wear inordinately ruffled blouses which I am convinced deflect from the spectacle that I am, it has worked, really. For some reason it just seems like I have a perfect poof of ruffles instead of the usual hiding gnomes in my t-shirt syndrome. Heidi has many blouses that work for my 'look' and my second fave is where her skirts hit high on the waist so femme fatale without seeming like you are trying to be fatale. I just think a high waisted skirt is so polished and works really well when paired with this ruffly type of blouse, but then again I could be delusional (how sweet + sexy is that one thin bangle slid high on the forearm?).
I love the names and how "Bardot' the model is, swoon Miss Merrick, swoon...I don't think I could ever get away with a horzontial striped, fitted dress but love the styling and pockets on this one. If you weigh 90lbs this might be a good look for you.
