Happy New Year to the most amazing. wonderful, talented and smart blog reader that ever was. I like to start the new year out strong and since you are reading this you obviously are all of the above and have great taste to boot. I love you. Really.
The image above is from one of the Souvenir Foto School assignments. I adore it, Alex Sears on the left moi on the right. For six weeks we paired up and created diptychs based off of interpretations of simple words (this one was 'soft'). My classmates out did themselves they were all dedicated, creative and just above and beyond perfect (unfortunately I forgot to ask permission to show their work). How lucky am I to have met such a wonderful group? I am in awe that I lived this many years on the planet and only last year did I really feel that I have connected with like minds via what a lot of people deem an impersonal medium--the internet. They are wrong. The computer has made me more social, more creative and has completely inspired me. It must of been the same when paper was invented in China all those years ago. Yes, I have had friends prior, long term friends; I am still friends with my best friend from pre-school for goodness sake but the computer has introduced me to amazing individuals where otherwise I doubt our paths may have ever intersected. I am so happy they did.
