A couple of weeks ago I took a class at my local Paper Source in booklet making. Each student made three different types of booklets and I was thinking of all the ways to incorporate this new skill into my business. If you are getting married and doing programs and looking for an elegant D.I.Y project this class may be what you are looking for. I was pleasantly surprised (again) at how well my projects turned out. It is true I do need some heavy-duty cutting practice, but you can always take your cutting needs to Kinko's or a local print shop which should have an electric cutter (queue the angels singing). It is in my professional opinion having straight, stress-free cuts is worth its weight in gold. There are plenty of on-line tutorials but seeing someone demonstrate the thread binding in person made it so much less confusing (admittedly, I do get easily confused) and meeting other Craftista's makes for one happy afternoon.
Any happy plans for the weekend?
